Racing Simulators for the PC

Are there any racing simulators for PC like that of Forza for Xbox or Gran Turismo for PS3 :P I know there are plenty of racing games in general, like Dirt 3 and Burnout Paradise, but I figured I would ask if there was any people would recommend in particular.

Race 07, its only about 3 quid and has got stuff like WTCC (world touring car championship) amongst other events and it has quite a lot of expansions!
 
I like NFS Shift 2 Unleashed, if you play in first person with the helmet cam mode on it is awesome and nothing like any other racing game, only problem is drifting takes a while to get used to in that, but i'm using elite settings (minus real car damage) and an xbox controller that's joysticks are sticking a little

NFS games are arcadey, he said racing sim :P
 
I'll definately check out Race 07 if you can pick it up for that cheap!

I tried the first NFS: Shift for Playstation when it first came out, and I wasn't a big fan to be fair. It seemed like a good game, but just not as good as others I had at the time :P I don't know if Shift 2 is a big improvement though, it very well might be!

Race Room Racing Experience is an upcoming free to play race sim. There's a playable teaser on Steam at the moment.
