Radeon 5870 vs Geforce GTX 460M

My knowledge about GPUs is limited, please tell me which one is good as there are two different laptops which have these two graphics cards.
The one with GTX 460M is costlier. Can I know whether I can do heavy gaming and video editing on both. Which will be better? at full setting?
 
In benches the 460 tips out the 5870, however it is only massively better in benchmarks, in actual use, there isn't a whole lot between them
 
Asus G73Jh (5870m) price 90k here, Asus g73Jw (460m) price over 110k here, almost same specs for both laptops. Is GTX 460M overpriced? Should I confirm 5870 against 460?
 
You have to look at other stuff - what is the size, weight, battery, what external ports does it come with, what type of screen, what type of keyboard. When you have an all in one, which is what a laptop is, it is your peripherals, it is your mobo, it is your hard drive, memory, monitor, speakers...everything, so you can't just assume CPU, memory, hard drive, GPU are similar, price is not, therefore one is too expensive.

Of the 1, I would go with the 5870 for the price. Remember though, that mobile GPU's aren't the same as desktops. a 460m isn't the same as a GTX460 performance wise, the 5870m isn't the same as a HD5870. I do know though that a 5870m is the same as a desktop HD5770
