Radeon 8500 Is a Trusty Warrior.........

After Installing HL2......I get 100 FPS in some circumstances.

Others...it runs at a great FPS.....but it "stutters". I noticed when it "stutters", the harddrive light goes on. My guess is the system is running out of video memory, so it has to use the systems.

Whats some tweaks for WINXP, or any other thing I can do.

I am playing 1024 x 768 X 32 bit. High Quality.

Radeon 8500 earns my stamp.

The Loading Time is horrible. Takes about 1 minute to start up. 1 minute to load the game.

I have Athlon 64 3000, 512 MB RAM, K8N Board.

1. The data is loaded from the system memory to the video memory so of there isnt enough video memory than it just takes longer, it doesnt have to page back and forth
2. The harddrive light is separate from both system and video memory
