Radeon 9600 AGP

Quick comparative question/value question. I have an Xtasy Radeon 9600 XT in my old pc. I paid almost $300 for it a few years back, and when I look it up now, its still listing for about $140...an AGP card. My new PC has a GeForce 6600LE (PCI-E). How do these cards perform in relation to each other?

First you are going from a 4x/8x AGP card to a PCI-Express 16x card for seeing faster speeds there. While the 128mb 9600 was a good card a few years back it slumps a little compared to the 6600LE 128mb PCI-E model. A better comparison could be made the AGP version of that model to the 9600 since those would be the same type of card.

You can actually fine the 9600XT online for about $75 or even less.

PC EYE is right, if you have an AGP card you cant use a PCI-E card in the same slot, you need to buy another AGP card. Some of the better ones would be the x800/x850 series, or the 7800gs.
