Hi! Is this a decent card? I'm using a dual-core AMD 4200+, with an ASUS M2V-MX SE motherboard, 2 gb ram, a Dell D1226H 19" monitor, and a 500 watt power supply. I see that it's a low profile card, but does that mean that the card is smaller but the card metal connector still fits in a standard case slot? Also, I see it has a vga connection on the back so I won't need an adaptor. I don't do any gaming, just watch some videos and pictures. I see it has some 3d, and I d like to try the 3d in Ubuntu, which I dual-boot with. The sale at Newegg ends tomorrow---$29.99 after rebate, so does this seem like a good buy for my needs? Any and all responses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

more video memory helps at higher resolutions. It doesn't affect general performance. The IceQ4 cooler is also very quiet and very efficient at cooling. you won't even know it's on, and it's cooler than a reference desgin cooler from Ati. My brother has this card, it's good. but a 4850 would be better.
