Im going over the final specs for a new computer Im going to buy, and I noticed that I could save around $60 by choosing the Radeon HD 7750 instead of the 7770. Common sense tells me that because the number only goes up by 20 (:P) that the 7770 isn't much different, but there has to be a reason that Im forking over so much extra cash. Is there really a major difference in the performance?

there is a good performance bump but not sure about that much, how much is a 560 or 6850 or whatever?

And are you ordering a customized one from the internet? they charge a good bit to assemble it while you could do it yourself and save a good chunk along with having more options.

I get that from people alot, but when I set up an order with all of the same or identical parts, it ends up costing a little more. Plus, Im not much of a builder, so I'd rather have it ready to go when it gets here.

There's not too much of a performance difference, but you might want to go for the 7770 anyway, just for future-proofing. I guess it really depends on your budget. The 7750 is still a great card, but if the 7770 will make a difference for you in any games you might be playing, you should probably go for it. Here's a site where you can compare the general performance of many GPUs:

anandtech has a good comparison showing the difference in fps in many games and in some programs.

and again, how much more/less is a 6850 or 6870 and a gtx560?
