Hey guys, I really want to know if my Athlon II x3 can handle a radeon HD 7850...
I will not play games like BF4 or crisis 3 or anything with big graphics like that, but more like mmorpgs and stuff like that.

I will upgrade my CPU in a month or 2, I just want to be able to play games on high with decent fps.

I have an integrated radeon HD 4200 now and I can only play Pixels games or well optimized games like League Of Legends with medium graphics and I want to know i f it will at least make a big difference.

So basically, I will not play heavy graphics games and I just want to have graphics on high on mmorpgs like Soon for example, and have decent fps with a radeon HD 7850 with an Athlon II x3.

Thank you for your help !

You will be more than fine in games like League of Legends. Athlon X3 isn't particular specific and I don't know the game Soon, but most games are more GPU dependent rather than CPU.

Yeah you'll be good. I don't know about high on all games but you should be able to game pretty well on MMO's with that. It will be beneficial to upgrade your CPU in a few months like you plan though. Going to a 7850 from a 4200 will make a HUGE difference in performance though even with the Athlon.

Out of curiosity, what power supply do you have?

Kind of a crappy company but your build isn't too power hungry so you should be alright. 250w would not have been enough. If you can I'd return it and get a Corsair CX500. Fairly cheap and plenty of power for what you've got, and a much more reliable brand.
