Radeon X2 or not?

Hello I need an advice with buying an ATI radeon HD 4870. I am wondering If its better to now buy the 1gb version and maybe in one year buy the second one or to buy the X2 (2gb) right now?

Can I even connect those two 1gb together if I buy them separately?

Yes you can combine the two 4870's together via CrossFire, but only if you have a CrossFire capable motherboard. I have a 4870 X2 and love it, but if you can't afford it then buying one now and another one in a few months may be better for you.

I have the money now. I just dont want to do something which I would regret later. But I dont believe buying 4870X2 will be so sad :)
