Omg, I just replace my old Radeon 9600 pro XT with this card, and now... graphics are bad! When I try to play cod2 or HL2, graphics is worst than playing on 9600 pro XT 128mb:( ! If I set it to High Quality in Ati control center, then it is impossible to play becouse graphics are so bad. I have latest graphic drivers.
Do you have any advice what to do?

Do you mean the the textures in the game have artifacts or something to that extent, or that you can't play the game since the graphics settings have to be set very low?

Yes, textures have artifacts. Its like playing on 9550 SE. With radeon 9600XT pro I can play CoD2 or HL2 with no graphic or textures problem, and all settings are set to HIGH in game, and still in Catalyst Control Center graphics settings are set to High Quality. But playing with X700 pro I need to lower graphics settings in game, and in Catalyst Control Center. So I realy dont know what is wrong with this card.

You can readliy try a few different things like disable the ATI AI as well as uninstall the ATI Catalyst and all drivers to choose the administror's option to select only the drivers only by unchecking the Catalyst. This is install the basic drivers only. When having to rush order a new board along with an MSI X1300 Pro I spotted the 700mhz clock on X700 model over the 600mhz on this one. But people have raved about the X850 being a good gaming card.

What does come to mind here is how you set the C.Center and refresh rates. Some of these games run better at 60hz rather then 70hz or higher. Make sure you have things checked off to "let application decide" rather then forcing antiliasing and others. Meanwhile you made a goof in your signature to point out here before someone does. The AMD Atholon XP3200+ is the model that runs at 2.205ghz to 2.21ghz. The 3000+ was slightly less at 2.17ghz. There never any problem with the Rad 9550 SE seen here since it already had the 9600 chip in it. But try tweaking the Catalyst settings and take a look at the refresh rates by raising up to 75htz or lower to 60htz to see if that's a cause. Usually the game will auto detect your hardware set itself to some default lowered settings. If the card is found good you will have toy around with settings to get the right combination there.

This is how Half-Life 2 set itself to lower settings:P

Ah, I will think of something. O, I solve CoD2 problem: I had to change DirectX9 to DirectX7, and now is working fine... almost.
Thanks for help

Reduce the settings on Water Detail to simple to see a better result there. I generally see no problems with the color correction enabled. But I still have to install HL2 and Episode One on the new hardware here to see it does now. The swapout of board, AGP to PCI-Express(ATI Radeon 9550 256mb to MSI X1300 Pro) along with adding a second WD 250gb drive for storage and Linux should prove interesting. Lately Soldier of Fortune II is the one running to replace some 20,000 screen shots along with some interesting game saves when the old board suddenly failed to see the drive. The XP simply wiped everything to get it running until the new board came in. A repair install saw the new board and card work well while still reinstalling Catalyst 6.6. If you had to go back to the older DX try an older Catalyst like 5.11 to use the Control Panel instead of the Catalyst there. That helps out a lot with certain games from what I've been hearing. The 5.11 was the last to have that option.

Theres something wrong, because I have the same card, and I can play COD2 fine on DX9 mode. Also I can set the settings of HL2 on all full and still have high frames and no texture problems. Did you overclock it at all?

I haven't run COD or COD2 to know if your drivers or settings are a problem there. But Steam will prompt you automatically to get the latest Catalyst when you first install HL2 as well after you see a Steam update. But I still went back to 5.11 and ran the control panel over the Catalyst without anything being a problem until installing Episode One. Cat 6.5 was then needed to run the addon. It may have nothing to do with the card itself if you have another problem coming about. Running a good benchmark on your system like SiSoftware's Sandra or once Prime95 would be an idea as well as good run of memtest. Have you ever updated the bios on your board? You didn't list the make and model in your signature to refer to.
