hi, im thinking of getting an ati radeon x800 pro agp 8x but i dont know if my pc will run it or not. my pc specifications are

240watt power supply
asrock k7vm4 motherboard with agp 8x
amd athlon xp 2600+ 1.9ghz
512 mb ram

Youll want some more watts, but it will prob work. Just dont expect it to run anything crazy.

mobo=motherboard.

You will deffinetly need a new PSU if you want to use an x800 series card.

i hav a program that tells me my voltages but i dont understand them.

cpu: 1.79v
+2.5: 3.23v
+3.3: 3.20v
+5.0: 5.11v
+12.00: 11.73v
-12.00: 3.30v
-5.00: 0.00v

The voltages on the power supply dont make a difference, you need to look at wattage and amperage, specifically on the +12V rail(s).

They are pretty good, but have you put in the new card yet? the +12V is a little low. You need a new PSU no matter what.

That is a very nice power supply for only $33. I have it and it runs my x850XT PE and C2D with ease. And another member here runs his 7800GS off of it to.

Unfortunately, wattage is far from the whole story. Take the side of your case, and take a look at the sticker on the power supply. You should see a sticker that looks something like this. Take a look at the current output on each rail. In particular, tell us what the output of the +12V rail is.

It's certainly not bad, but IMO the XCLIO 450BL is well worth the extra $7.

+3.3v=14.0A
+5v=40.0A
-5v=0.5A
-12v=0.5A
+5v sb=2.0A

frequency=60hz
current=3A

12a is already not having enough power to supply to a 6600gt. i would say upgrade the psu unless you dont mind possible restarts.

On the low end you'll want 18A on the 12V. Something with 24A or more is preferable.
