RAID question.

I have 3 hard drives in my PC, i want to make 2 of them RAID.

the drives I want to setup in RAID are 250GB and 320GB. Different brands/models.

Is it still possible to use different models and brands, as long as the speed is the same? (7200RPM)

No idea yet, still looking at what would be the best RAID for 2 drives.

Well with 2 drives you can either use 0 or 1. 0 if you want speed 1 if you want redundancy.

Just keep in mind that if you run RAID 1 you will only have 250gb of HDD space since it is a mirror. You will have 500gb of space with a RAID 0 but if either drive fails you will have no way to retrieve that data.
