Raidmax Power Supplys?

Now, I know their not on par with corsair, but most of the nicer raidmax psus on newegg have good ratings.I guessing they are here: Awful:Logisys, apex Bad:Cooler master, raidmax bad models Average:Thermaltake Above average: Raidmax nice models (blackstone) Here is the one i have in mind:Raidmax blackstone 700 watt modulaur m.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152042

Why do you need a 700W modular PSU exactly? is for a future upgrade? I personally wouldn't buy a PSU from anybody apart from Corsair, Antec, XFX, Silverstone, OCZ etc etc.

Not a very good unit at all. For a quality 700 watt modular unit, the price should be around $100 or more.

Two rails with 23A on it, no mention of efficiency. Just because it gets good reviews doesn't mean its good. If it fails, would the same reviewer come back and give a bad review? Probably not.

Junk, doesnt have but 400W/33amps on the 12V rail and that is at max out put. Which means that after a few minutes it will kick out or burn up. Would be better off with a lowend Corsair System builders model.

Well it does claim 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified. But there is no rules on how to test one. Its probably when it pulling 100W at 20 below zero, lol

80 plus certified, 80+ efficancy.I wasnt gonna get it, but I just wanted to know. Also, youve never owned one, why are you being like that?

He's not being like anything. Its raidmax, In all the years of computer building, idk of anyone who would ever recommend that power supply brand.

You need to realize that many of us have not only worked with our own PC's a lot, but others as well.

After working on so many, you get an idea of which brands of which components to avoid.

Okay then, tell me you got a nice raidmax blacksmith and tried it out for quite a while.

By your logic, then you should try the Blackstone out for a while with a powerful setup.

A 700w modular power supply for $60 is not going to be nice, no matter how you spin it.

Some things, it doesn't matter what the brand or price is, it'll be good. (DVD drives, cables, RAM for the most part) But for power supplies, brand and price do matter. The lower the price, the worse the parts are.

After re-reading the OP, I don't see what your actual question is..
Was your intent for people to give their opinion on the matter just so you could argue that they are wrong?

Just to throw the cat among the pigeons, I'm using a no-name PSU with only just enough watts to run this system, and I've never had a problem. Been over a year now. I guess sometimes you just get lucky.

I wouldn't trust an expensive system to that one, it has some decent features but something about it just makes me feel uneasy. I don't like that it has multiple 12v rails, and says it doesn't support sli or crossfire, and that it's been failing on people. I'm most particular about the power in a system, if I can't count on that i'm just wasting money. If you get it I imagine it will be a case of the luck of the draw whether it dies on you or not. I would probably pass on it though.

If you don't like the answers, don't ask the questions.
I read the feedback on Newegg and I personally wouldn't take a chance on MY system with it.
