Ram and XMP

Hey, I just put an ASROCK H97M ANNIVERSARY mobo in a case with with 8 gigs of Crucial 1600 ram, along with an Intel Pentium G3220 processor. When I enable the ram XMP it wont boot, or at least it won't light up, and have to reset the bios, right now, I'm getting 666.5 which is 1333, I have heard that some cpu's wont allow you to enable XMP. Is the G3220 the reason it wont boot with XMP enabled?

What bios version is installed? They just updated it on December 29th.

I would recommending updating the bios.

I updated the bios, it lets me change basic things like AHCI for my ssd, but God forbid I touch anything in th OC section. Anyway, the difference they say between 1333 and 1600 is not really noticeable, I don't think the cpu can be overclocked unless it's done manually, I'm not comfortable with doing that. So, 1333 it will stay, apparently.

Sometimes you have to flop the bus speed from Auto to manual in order to also get any voltage adjustment parameters.
