hey. so yeh iv got this fairly new computer (a few months) and ever since i got it its been BSODing like crazy but only when i switch it on. i get a variety of errors: 0x03b, 0x0f4, 0x0fc, 0x01A, 0x050, and fatal system error. the odd thing is, is that if i restart my pc i keep getting the messages, but if i turn it off, then on, it will work fine all day.... also iv tried reinstalling windows, and using windows repair...which does nothing for me :( virus scan comes up with no viruses and i have previouly had the most recent drivers installed (though i downgraded with graphics coz it was having issues as well).

finaly, i tried memtest86+ and after maybee half an hour it had failed test 6, 7, and 8 with 124 errors....im guessing this is bad but i was hopeing that someone could verify that it's very likely that i have broken RAM before i send it back under warranty, only for them to say they're fine, that'll be $100 thanks.

also here's my stytem:

1 x Intel Core i5-750 / 2.66GHz / 8MB Cache / LGA1156 1 x Asus 24" VH242H
1 x XFX ATI HD5850 PCI-E 2.0, 1GB, DDR5, 256bit, Dual DVI, HDMI, Display Port, DX11, Fan (HD-585X-ZNFV)
1 x Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3 intel Mainboard - 4x DDR3 / 6x Sata Raid / 1x IDE / Gigabit Lan / LGA 1156
1 x Antec EarthWatts 750W ATX Power Supply

1 x Corsair DDR3 4GB PC-10600/1333 (2x XMS3 2GB) TW3X4G1333C9A Ram

1 x Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM 32MB SATA 3Gbs
1 x LG GH22NS50 SATA DVD Re-Writer (22x - Black)
1 x Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)

So yeh broken RAM, or could it be somthing else?....

p.s. please keep in mind that i am a mad n00b with computers...iv'e read about people suggesting doing all this hardcore computer stuff, which would be waaay beyond me. i was just wondering if you guys could verify that i have faulty RAM so that i can confidently send it back under warranty. :)

THANKS HEAPS FOR ANY HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you buy this computer from a store or did someone build it for you? If it's new then you have a warranty from someone. Have you tried running memtest on it?

yeh it got built for me but all the parts are under warranty....uh, yeh, memtest86+. it came up with 124 errors and failed tests 6,7, and 8 (after about 30 mins). i think i wrote that in my post :)

Yep, you did. Just overlooked it. You definately have bad memory and need to return it and get new.

awesom thats pretty much what i wanted to hear. though if anyone thinks i should run any other tests please let me know :) oh and yeh sorry i didnt mean to sound mean or anything. just thougt id point it out :)
