Hey guys. i just got my 2gb of ram today in the mail. Took my old crap out, in with the new. Fire my rig up and it works like a charm. When running memtest it says that copying from 762500 to 762501 has an error. is that a big problem? how many errors are acceptable? BTW, i baught the ram on newegg, so i can return it...

Thx,

How many errors should you get? None. Try moving the sticks around and/or retesting if want but you shouldn't be getting any errors.

You shouldn't get errors, unless you had the RAM in different slots for the 3rd round of testing I would still exhange the RAM. I had some RAM that was bad but worked fine once you got it 'warmed up.' It would blue screen after being off for a couple days and a memory test would report an error if it hadn't been powered on for about a 1/2 hour
