I could get the 2gb, esspacailly if its a 939 board so you can dual challel it,I could tell a different from going to 1 to 1.5 and i bet even more to 2.

2GB in dual channel is obviously better than 1, but you can easily throw in another 1GB stick and have better performance. As i said before, go with the 1GB and 7800GTX, but upgrade to 2GB as soon as possible.
