Ram issues

Hi guys,i built a new comp at the tail end of last year. my ram seems to be giving me issues (am guessing) i bought 16gb of corsair vengance 2133mhz 4x4gb sticks but my comp keeps giving me bsod if i have any more than 4gb of ram installed. If i keep just one stick in it works fine, and i can put in any stick and it works fine.

Try swapping what RAM slot the single stick is installed in. Might be a bad RAM slot on the mobo.

Hi, sorry its took so long to get back to you, just been really busy. so my bsod is now happening with any amount of ram. i get an error code which is WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR, after goggling this and doing some research, i have found this to hardware related or driver related. so in device manager i checked the drivers to most thing, until i came across a thing called programme support, and when i click on it, it drops down to revel six items two of which have a yellow warning triangle and they are called programmable root enumerator

can anyone help with this and do you think this could be the cause of the bsod

Right click on those devices and go to properties. Then choose Hardware_ID and past the hardware ID here.

Hi voyager, it turns out that is not the issue after all. My issue is my wireless card. My card is a asus pce-ac66, which turns out doesn't work with the 8-series intel platforms, so now I have the fun of trying to have this sorted. I phoned the place I bought it ( dabs.com) and they refused to help as and I quote " isn't there problem" as I have had the card for over the 7 day return period. I have send an email to asus and am awaiting a reply.
