Ram model numbers

I'm upgrading the ram on my HP pavillion 725n from 512 to 1g. I'm looking at Kingston products on newegg.com. They show 5 sticks that are PC2700 & PC3200,512mb but the only thing I see differant is the model numbers. How do I tell which one is right for my system.
Also when I look up RAM on sites they're showing both PC2700 & PC3200. I was told that if my system uses PC2700 that PC3200 won't make a differance.

Any of the Kingston Random Access Memory you are looking at on NewEgg.com will work in your system.

Any specific reason you are picking Kingston brand? I prefer Super Talent or Patriot brand memory as these manufacturers make their memory in the U.S.A.

Here is some Super Talent 512 Megabyte PC 3200 RAM that would also work in your system ($31 total in price):

No reason for kingston, just went by reader reviews, this is my first time upgrading a computer. I'll look at the other names you mentioned. I would rather by made in the U.S.A.

Thanks for your help.

Don't take the reviews on NewEgg.com too seriously. Some people think they are highly trained computer technicians and like to make questionable reviews.

I have bought five modules of random access memory from Super Talent and have had no problems with any of them. As you can see in my signature I am currently using 2 gigabytes of Super Talent RAM in my system.
