I have a Toshiba Satellite p25-s507 with two 256 sticks. While trying to upgrade for video editing I purchased a 512 replacement for one of them. The computer worked fine for a time then shut down completely. Finally figured to put the original 256 back in and it worked fine. Then purchased two 1Gb, installed them and, again, completely dead 'pute. Put the two 256's back in and it fires up fine. How come this happen, eh?

IT could possible be a speed related thing on the RAM. contact support or look at the crucial memory finder to find a workable stick of RAM. i say this because it is very unblikely that u purchased two bad sets in a row. OTHERWISE i would just run MemTest86

although everything but the PIN count make sense, it cant possible be the pin count. It wouldnt fit otherwise.

Yeah I just realized that after I posted it but didnt edit it. LOL Actually now that I think of it the ram speed shouldnt matter either b/c your mobo just wont be able yo use all the speed of the ram but should still work.
