RAM Overclocking

I was just wondering by how much should i overclock my RAM as i have tried in the past and fried two sticks of ram in the process. My RAM runs at 800MHz and i also have an OCZ memory cooler so temperature shouldnt be a problem.
How much do you guys recommend overclocking the ram by?

You'd gain more performance by getting the RAM to run in a 1:1 ratio with your FSB and setting lower timings then simply raising the speed of the RAM.
