RAM question

when a game needs 1g of ram does it take the 1g of ram away from ur computer . because i would like to have more then 2 games installed in my computer.

i have a intel® Core™ 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz
do i have 2.4 ghz or double. scene its a quad core?
 
Your Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor is 4 separate processors contained inside one housing. Each of the four processors can run up to 2.4 gigahertz (2.4 billion cycles per second).

Dual and quad core processors can multi task (run more than one program at the same time) more efficiently than single core processors.

You can have as many games installed that you want if you have the harddrive size big enough. The Ram part means you need that amount of Ram for the game to run efficient. It only uses it when you playing the game.
