RAM question

Hi guys i have 1.5gb of memory (1gb and 512mb sticks) in my Sony vaio i was thinking of puting 2gb ... I know it can go up to 2GB but my question is my ram speed is 667mhz can i get like 800mhz on it or its impossible ???

All DDR2 RAM is compatable with all DDR2 RAM motherboards. If your board can't 800MHz RAM it will be clocked down to the 667MHz speed. Check with Crucial.com or your computers manual to see if you should spend the extra cash on 800MHz DDR2 ram. Most of the time it's not really any more expensive then the lower speed ram.

in simple words u get better performance with ram stics with same clocking
