ram question

my friend is trying to upgrade his 2002 dell system with another gig of ram. does anyone know what type of ram was most common then? (184-pin, DDR, etc)

You answered yourself right there... It uses plain DDR RAM. You could run CPUz to double check(easy find on Google) but I suspect it's PC3200 or less. As long as you don't get any slower RAM than what's in the system, you're fine. Otherwise it will slow down to match the slowest RAM in the system.

any 184-pin ddr sdram type will work...
you came to the right place
run cpu-z on his computer, and it'll tell you the exact specs of the ram, the brand name, and the expandability too.
