ram question

so i'm running 4 gigs of ram in my system, however, in my system information, it only says i'm running 3.50 gbs. i know the other .50 wouldn't really make a difference but i'm just curious why my systems only recognizing 3.5 instead of 4. ntune is also recognizing all four gigs and i've set my primary video adapter to my pci-e so it doesn't use onboard shared vid memory, but could there be something else i didn't do? any help will be greatly appreciated! thanks!

If you are using windows xp, is because windows xp has a ram limit or at least the 32bits versions, 64 bits os and vista doesn't do this.

The limit on XP is 4gb, so it should recognise it.

Press Ctrl Alt Del and see if it recognises the 4gb there.;)

I agree with above what the heck are you doing in a pc that you need 4 gigs of ram i have 2 and its personally overkill on my pc...

It is a RAM limit but it's because all the devices on your PC need to be addressable and they use the address range that is around the 3-4GB range because so few people actaully have that much RAM and fewer actually use it.
