Hi There,
I need an answer for the following from people who knows RAM:
I recently ordered a Kingston RAM (KVR400X64C3A/512) from an on-line store.
What i got is a samsung RAM, both chips and board.
I'm aware to the fact that Kingston ValueRAM has a few companies that produce its chips, however for this model, Samsung is not one of them, the board itself shouldn't say Samsung either.
In the way that it was packed there are stickers that actually block the fact that its a samsung. (an image will be uploaded if needed)
Do i have a reason to be suspicous and think that certain companies add a Kingston sticker to certain PC3200 RAM products to boost up the price? since Samsung is 20$ less, what i got is a 100% Samsung RAM nothing suggests that its a Kingston. (i own a few KVR's and i never saw something like this)
Please tell me what you think, when i addressed the issue in the stores forum i got a very negative response.
Thanks you.
