RAM Specs!?

I want to upgrade my computers RAM and I need to know what specs I need without taking my computer apart and I need to know if my computer would be capable of the extra ram.
Any surgestions?

just do what this person says!
i had to find out what type of RAM a friend had in her old computer cause she wanted more.
she didn't have the manual from the motherboad.
i couldn't find out what model number the motherboard was.
so i found that EXACT little program and it told me what i needed to know.
