Ram upgrade

So, I know that my pc has 2 ram slots and it supports up to 4gb of 667/800mhz ram, but does it matter what manufacturer it is, or does it not matter as long as it fits these requirements? (by the way, it's not the pc in my signature)

DDR2 is going to be more expensive than DDR3 (RAM gets more expensive as it gets older), but yeah, any brand should work so long as it's the right spec.

Here's a random example of a ram stick, my question is what is the part I highlited? And does it matter as well? cause I have no clue what type of this thing my pc has... CenDyne 2GB DDR2 RAM 667MHz PC2-5300 240-Pin DIMM
