hi guys, been playing around with my RAM settings for the past few hours and i cannot get it to overclock what so ever.
heres what Ive done, tried on 1866mhz with lowest of 10-10-9-28 timings and will run on 1.5v.
then if i go to prime95 and run it with these ram settings it runs for a few seconds and then the tests stop running and say hardware failure detected something along the lines of rounding error 0.5 expected 0.4.
ive tried this on 1.6v with these settings, even gone to 10-10-10-30 on 1842mhz and 1908mhz and still the tests fail.
however if i run it on 1642mhz then it runs fine and tests pass straight through on standard 9-9-9-24 latency.
was wondering what is causing this, cpu is on 4.5ghz ram is new and has been checked overnight with memtest and no errors found. runs perfectly fine.
i have 16gb (4x4gb) corsair vengeance ddr3 1600mhz memory, which is supposed to be overclockable.
any help appreciated, thanks guys!
