Hello
Is there a way to know what kind of RAM does my MoBo support, i.e whether it has two 1 GB slots or 512mb slots? I have lost the info that came with my MoBo. All i can say is it is Asus socket 478. MoBo. And presently it has a celeron 2.4GhZ processor on it.

There isn't a 1GB slot or 512 slot, a slot will handle as much ram as you put in it, seeing that its compatible and it doesn't go over the system's ram limit.
