Random Disconnects

Hello CF, its been awhile.

I been having connection issues the past 3 days. I run an Adapter, the TP-LINK 150Mbps Wireless Lite N Adapter. Its not my router and my brothers computer is not having any connection issues and he has an adapter but its Linksys.

What happens is I am doing my thing on the internet when it suddenly disconnects me. It says I can connect to another network, and I tried joining mine, but it says its unable to connect to it. So I Manually delete the connection I had in my router and reconnect, reentering the password and connecting back in. It works fine for a bit then it goes back saying its disconnected.

I removed the adapter and plugged it back in to restart it and that doesn't work. I am not sure whats going on, and its only happening to me. I dont suppose anyone knows what it could be? Thanks again CF!

Start by trying a different wireless adapter and see what happens. We've had a few users listing loss of internet connection using TP link products lately.

Do a fresh install of drivers. Try different USB ports.

Don't rule out a bad wireless adapter. I had a similar problem that drove me to the point of doing a fresh install of Windows, only to discover that my Belkin Adapter had crapped out on me.

I know you said it's not the router but try resetting both the router and the modem. Oddly that will help even when it's just one computer sometimes. Wireless connections have some off the oddest issues in computers and always befuddle me.
