Random Game Crashes

I transfered game files saved on a 32-bit system to 64-bit system. It was the Sims 2. I transfered all my neighborhoods, cache files, and lot files, etc...that was in the EA games folder. Could this be the reason my game keeps crashing? Should I just use a 32-bit system now?
 
^^ Yup The games will crash no matter what you do unless you reinstall them. Then you can transfer all your saved stuff over and let it over-write. Then you should have your saved game back.
 
Yeah, I installed all the programs from the disk. I installed the game and all expansion packs. Then I copy-pasted the Sims 2 in My Documents (not the one in Program files) to my new 64-bit system. And the game keeps crashing.
 
I feel your pain, BTW, Sims 2 once you reach that stage of getting used to your neighborhood, you don't really want to start over.. but check EA and see if it's 64 compat or you may need a patch
