Hey all,
I have a Dell XPS 410. I recently flashed the BIOS to version 2.1.2 and moved back into my college dorm room. Twice today the usb keyboard and mouse stopped responding and an error message in the XP taskbar appeared stating that "a USB device has stopped responding or malfunctioned." This computer is 2 months old. Here are its specs (and if its the motherboard, I'm gonna scream
):
XPS 410
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4 GHz
2x1GB (2GB) PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM
160 GB Seagate SATA Hard Drive
640MB BFG Geforce 8800GTS (one wow of a GPU)
Soundblaster Audigy 4
Dell Ultrasharp 1704FPt with SA501 speaker bar
Windows XP Media Center 2005 (I'm gonna have Vista Home Premium next week with DX10
)
DVD+-RW and combo drives
PCI Firewire card
