Is western digital ever going to update their raptors to 300MB/s Serial ATA transfer rates instead of 150 any time soon?

Hopefully they will. Currently, they believe that 150MB/s is "sufficient."

Yeah, I guess they feel that with the 10,000 RPM that rate of data transfer is good enough.

SATA300 is overrated anyway, you can only hit the max speed with short burst transfers.
