.rar or .zip

This is my thought of the day: Why is .rar better than .zip?

From what I've found, .rar has higher compression, and supports encrypting the file names in addition to setting a password.

I figured it had higher compression but I didn't know about the encryption.

Plus, .zip is made by Windows...

.rar have a higher compression to it makes the .rar file a lot smaller
