I have a rat problem, rats sometimes poop and urinate on my computer table, thats why I always wipe my table with alcohol, last night i place some moth balls on my table and i see no more rat poop. wont moth balls damage the electronics on my pc?

I doubt they'll damage something. and also.. i think the rat-excrementals are more hazardous to the electronics,.. so i gues its choosing the lesser of 2 evil's anyway :o

your right, I used to have an epson printer but after rats made it their home it nozzle are now cloged and the parts rusted.

If I saw even one rat in my house you can bet there'd be an exterminator at my door within an hour. Rats are dangerous, they spread disease and are absolutely filthy. We're talking serious health hazards here.

A cat probably wouldn't solve the problem...Most indoor cats (the ones you would buy at a pet store) are usually taken from the mothers at a young age. Sure, they can catch the mouse just fine...they cat would play with it, then let it go, then catch it, then play with it some more, then let it go, then eat and go to sleep.

If you really want your rats gone, get a snake. :)

Gross, you let Rats run around your house and fight them with moth balls, Rats carry all kinds of wicked stuff worse than mice:confused: I agree with Ovenmaster!!

SNAKE!!!!

In all seriousness, you need to look into your rat problem. Ovenmaster is completely correct. Not to mention, its not very sanitary. Im sure there are exterminators in your area, If not I suggest the metal mouse traps, sticky mouse traps, rat poison, etc.

its not that big, as what you all are thinking. just those small size as seen in petshops.and you dont see them running all the time, just one every 2 or 3 weeks.

Get some traps with large enough springs, and place some peanut butter or fruit on them as bait. Its posible that the result will be messy, so keep them away from the computer area. I would suggest not using rat poison, it takes a long time for it to work, and the rat may stick itself in some unreachable area and rot. Good Luck!

That's still 2 or 3 weeks too often. We're talking health hazard here. How do you think diseases like the plague spread? Rats.
