thinking of getting this laptop, how do you rate it, looks like a good system, i need a laptop for uni thats going to last a while and has decent power,

are there any other places around that do decent laptops at this price.

does changing the ram mess with the warantee, i did it on my old laptop but only after the warantee ran out

Yes, when changing ram or anything, yes it could mess up the warranty, but that would most likely only mess up the warranty only the ram not anything else.

It looks like a good laptop, if you going to be using it for uni meaning, the internet, office etc... yes that would be find....

Rating..... not sure because it depends if there is anything better out there for the price... so i can't really give it a rating.

Not being in the UK, i wouldn't know where to look for laptops online :P

Depends, you'll have to look into Acer's warranty information. I know for some brands upgrading ram doesn't void anything.

As for the laptop itself, it's certainly not the best looking, but it'll get the job done while being cheap.

The Acer Aspire notebooks are great notebooks if you want a budget machine that will work well. I own two Acer Aspire notebooks, and are happy with the performance of both of them.
