ok. our cammera can do raw pictures. what is the difference between raw and like jpg? i have seen jpg it the picture is only 1.5 meg but the raw is 11 meg. what else is in there?

The difference between RAW and Jpeg is, when Jpeg is used the camera does all the processing, RAW is basically a digital negative so you can do the processing. If you do any work in Photoshop etc on a Jpeg you will loose a lot of quality. You can open RAW files in Photoshop and some versions of Photoshop Elements and any other application that can handle RAW format, and when you do this you have the option to adjust highlights, shadows, white balance, saturation etc with minimal to no loss of quality before the file is converted to a Jpeg or Tiff. So if any pics you that are the wrong colour or to dark etc, they can be easily adjusted. After using RAW and when you get to grips with it you will never go back to Jpeg.
