Linspire:

I got a linspire .iso disc. When i try to boot linspirelive on my compaq sa4000t, the loading bar only moves a little and doesn't go any more. It's not frozen because i can push ctrl-alt-delete and restart over and over again. Does this mean my system is incompatible with linux. I can run this on another machine, this three year old pIII system and it laggs, so i was going to try on a more modern system. Thnx for any replies.

Hum strange. I've never used linspire before. You might have to type a command in like how you want it set up... I know with some versions you do.. I don't think it means your system is incompatible with linux that would be just silly.. You might have gotten a bad iso or a bad copy of it..

It doesn't work on either the Compaq SA4000T nor the emachines t5026. Only works on my ancient compaq. Think its incompatible.
