read-only folder

for some reason i have a folder (mp3 music album) that is set to read-only and when i go to the properties and unset the readonly option i then go to 'apply changes to this folder, all subfolders, and all files' and when i go to properties again, it has been reset to read only:



at first it wasn't a read-only file, but i tried to edit the album art in the folder to make it bigger, and because i was playing the album in WMP, and the album art file was bieng used by that, i had an error message when i tried to save the modified file. it seems to be at this point that the folder became set as a read-only file. and the album art file dissapeared from the folder, and i think from my entire computer. how can i sort this out?

Why do you need it not read only, you can still listen to the music...Cant you?

it has happened to me too...
maybe you don't have the permission to change the read-only folder..
try to set the permission............

but i haven't still solved this problem on my pc...

Surely you are the administrator of your computer and should not need to change the premission as you will have full rights to doing anything and everything.

yeh thats what i cant understand, I am the admin and only user, so i should be able to change this setting, but I can't. well, as i said before, I can, but after i apply the new setting, and close the properties, it resets the folder to a read-only folder again.

it's the same thing happened to me.....
i have all the pc's folders setted read-only........
