Real Media Player

I just built a new computer and installed real media player. While I watch my videos on it once n awhile it would speed up real fast and jumps ahead like 10 seconds of the video. Does anyone know why this happens?

They're rmvb files.. don't think they work on other media players other than classic media but that thing always lags for me.

i'll check out that real media codec

thanks guys

i'm pretty sure vlc doesn't support rm type files.
there's another program to watch rm files and it's free. it's called "real alternative."

if the problem exists then i'm "guessing" it has something to do with your vid card or firmware. does the cpu spike to max when it stutters? investigate the reason why that associated program spiked

One question.
Does this happen on other Meadia Players? Try testing on Windows Meadia Player or w.e. Tell us what happened..

I personally cannot stand Real Media Player. I'd at least try VLC and see if it'll work - otherwise, go for the Real Alternative. (LOL that sounds weird)

VLC is the shiznit either way. I use it to watch mkv's and flv's. Otherwise I use wmp with the CCC pack.
