Ok, heres the thing, i set up my new network with a Linksys router and wired this comp to it, and at my dad's house its the same thing except my computer is a wireless desktop. Now i can't connect the computer together using "Real VNC(Virtual Network Computing)" and i know it has something to do with the linksys routers makin the computers ip 168.192.x.xxx, or w/e, but i would have no idea where to start to get them both going again???

Wow, there are so many of these same problems. I dont know why, but i have the same problem with my wireless, and the only way i can get anything to connect is to unencrypte my wireless. I would just wait, for someone might have a better answer then me:P

Hmmm

Maybe the solution lies in port forwarding or something like that. Have you checked out that option?

JAN :D

You do need to forward the ports to the machine in question.

Real VNC ports are around the 5800 mark.

This is complicated, and i will need more time to explain, pm me tonight to remind me to answer the thread more detailed

be sure to read all the documentation
