Real World PCI 2.0 vs 3.0 performance?

Hi guys,
I've browsed the internet over and over, but I have yet to find a video, review, etc. that explains or shows the actual speed difference between a pci 2.0 and a pci 3.0 setup. I ask this because I have a pci 3.0 capable processor and motherboard and I'm not sure if I want to get a pricier 3.0 Graphics Card or a cheaper 2.0 card. Can anyone explain or show the actual difference in graphics performance between the two so I know if the more expensive cards can justify the price. Thanks and I really value your opinion. :)

What are the different graphics cards you have in mind? Pcie 3 vs 2, don't worry. You should be worrying about the performance of the card.

There are only a handful of high end cards that use 3.0 but it's not what you should look for. What budget are you aiming at and we can pick out a good card for you.

Well, I prefer nividia, but the 6870 does win. Not to many games use physx, plus ciuda cores aren't important unless you will be using programs like cad, or folding@home.

PhysX has been pretty crappy on all the games I've tested so far. PhysX is cool, but still very unstable.

The idea of moving to PCI-E 3.0 is to prevent any sort of bottlenecking from the interface. This is why it's on new cards now even if they don't max out 2.0/2.1 bandwidth. That and there is less overhead on 3.0

They are also used in games, as the cuda cores are the actual SP units its just the name of nvidias design, which I believe its still the same basic design as the G80 was just with more processors.
