REALLY cool web browser

This browser is REALLY cool and it's based on Firefox. It's really nice and speedy on Vista (I haven't tried it on XP.) Check it out: http://www.elementsoftware.987mb.com/

Now download it! You're gonna like it. :D The only thing I don't like is that the enter key doesn't seem to go to a website... you have to press the go button, hopefuly the guy that developes it will fix that. :P

He's made some other software I haven't tried, but I will.
 
Just tried it, and I didn't like it at all... Like you said, it doesn't use 'Enter' to go to a web site, Middle Mouse doesn't open a new TAB. Also, the top toolbar take up well too much of the screen.

Well, I can live with the enter key thing and I use Ctrl-T for making a new tab. As far as the ribbon goes (what you called the toolbar) you can hide it. Just go to a new tab, then click on a blank part of a webpage.


That's ok, everyone's got there own opinion I guess. :P

I have to correct you here, if you do not mind. xD

Element Browser is not based on firefox, it is an entirely new application, except for the ElementKit engine, which is based on gecko (firefox). By default, element uses IE engine but you can select elementkit by using the Web Engine tool.

Element Browser runs perfectly fine on xp, too :)

oh btw im patternjake, the offical developer of the program (www.patternjake.deviantart.com)

just to add that the enter key is a bug, and i do plan to fix it in the next releases, that bieng release candidate 1.

Oops! I saw the DarkFox thing and, well... I guess I assumed too much. :P OK, also, it would be good if you could take care of the middle mouse button thing Kornowski mentioned. :)

Those are all crucial features as far as Im concerned
 
Just tried it and I kinda like it. Its super fast but, the enter thing is dumb. It is really far from firefox but it may get better.
 
Maybe its just me but looking at his screenshots all he did was take the office looking ribbon which has gotten a lot of ribbing due to people hating it and add this into a web browser.. Personally firefox and IE will always be the media giants and opera has a small share.. Not trying to be mean its obvious you have spent a lot of time on the GUI but i just dont think its going to work for most people. Show me you can beat AVG and avast on the AV side and i might consider putting your solution on a virtual machine to test..

i see people really doesn't appreciate others work. I myself haven't tested it, cause am not on windows. why not just try and point out the good stuff ? this will help the creator to fix faults with it. just because the dude said it's his doesn't mean we have to criticize

when i get a windows machine i will try and see what's up with it
 
IE may suck but you are never going to see businesses moving towards this. Matter of fact the 2 internships i did before my job now were large companies one was a fortuine 20 company actually had policies in place to ban this would warn people once fire them the 2nd time they found it on there...

Theres no need to say things like that, especially if it is your work someone is flaming, try putting 2 years into a piece of work for the joy of others and see how angry you get when people post nasty comments like that.
