realtime bandwith counter

Does such a thing exist? I tend to go over my monthly data allowance quickly if not monitored carefully. If such a program exists, a point toward it would be very appreciated. Something that perhaps sits in the tray quietly? cheers! :P
 
im curious about your bandwidth a month. Comcast is suggesting possibly using a bandwidth meter. Starting Oct 1st the bandwidth is set at 250gig a month.
