realtime clock problem ,help please

Hi,
I have a destop computer at work, it is HP Pavilion a430n Desktop PC. I got it from someone. everytime I turn on the computer, the clock is alway say the previous day's about 7:30 pm. what can cause this? if the battery is dead. don't it should be reset to the bios first date? it is very annoying. sometime I need to use the date stamp on the file to reconise the right file. anyone have any idea?
