i have got this harddrive which is brand new, this is the second time i return it for new one because of the dam griding chucking noise it makes when it seeks... now i know harddrives make noises i have 2 laptops and one desktop and non of their HD makes this kinda noise, here is what i have now
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=15852&vpn=SP2504C&manufacture=Samsung
i am beginig to think it might have something to do with my comp(which is new too btw, got it from dell one mounth ago) because this is the third drive i have gotten form this store(one maxtor, 2 samsong that i posted the link for) and they all seem to make this very load grinding chucking noise when it seeks
i was wondering if anyone would know if this problem is from my comp since i have tryed 3 diff harddrives and the store seems reliable atleast from many reviews i read(customer service was realy good as well)... or if its the harddrives themselves..... the last samsong HD i returned had bad secters idk about this one which i got today, can bad sectors be cuase of this noise?or because it is new and needs some running?
here is my comp spec
*psu is 305w max 18 amp
*160GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200RPM) <----want to use this as storage and new one as boot HD

*1GB DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz
