Well... im in need of a new pointing device,.. and currently im using a trackball ( a Microsoft one ), so, im moving my pointer with my thumb atm.
does anyone of you know a good trackball to replace the one i have,. because this one is pretty worn off now (left mouse button doesnt react occasionally, wich really annoys me when gaming)

sure,... i could try to use a mouse for a change.. but then would really have to get used to a mouse, since i always used a trackball so far ( at least for the past 5 years ) :o

Yup.. im using the Trackball Optical indeed. ;) but its getting old,. noticably.
so i need a replacement for it.

When first going into local stores looking for a replacement for the standard cheap fall apart mice that were out for something better the only Logitech model seen then is the one at http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2150,CONTENTID=5003

The newest model gets some attention. http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2135,CONTENTID=12134&ad=lgp_MXRev
But the one by Logitech that comes closest to the Trackball Explorer is seen at http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2150,CONTENTID=5006

IMAGINE trying to play a game with that

Which one are you referring to there? The two MS models have been tried out here. In fact I worn one Trackball Explorer out some time back from gaming. It was all that SOF2 and RTCW activity there I guess with a just released HL2.

well... this is the 2nd MS trackball i've worn out on gaming,.. and now i wanted to move to some other brand and try that. I think ill get the logitech one. altough.. the MX evolution does look quite interesting

The Trackball Explorer can be a little awkward for some due to the size and shape. Your thumb becomes the index finger there for left clicking while the index finger moves the trackball itself. The big difference with the Logitech MX model besides the higher price tag on it is that it's a wireless model. You dont have to have hold it in one position all of the time.
