So these are all the parts going into my new build-
XFX PVT84JUDD3 GeForce 8600GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16
Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 500
Q6600
Gigabyte P35 Mobo
2 GB Patriot DDR2 800 ram
a fan controller
2 lite on dvd rw's

It needs to fit my case (p180b) so it needs to be ATX

I need a psu that will power all of this, not planning to do SLI in the future, so no worries there
Will my current psu (hiper in the sig) work or not?

I would recommend the Corsair 520w or the OCZ 6-700w GameXStream, i love mine.... but if your not going sli i think the Corsair would be good for you since its modular. I think its buy.com that has it for $99?

btw: your title says "cpu" :P

Yeah i think so, i know it will power a 8800Ultra so... i think your fine. Btw its not my "expertise" either lol
 
Title changed. The Corsair would be more than sufficient for your system, but there's no need - your Hiper will handle it with ease.

Thanks for covering up my mistake, now i can change my first post lol.
So my hiper is powerful enough? It won't hold my computer back any?

You can use the adapter that ThatGuy16 mentioned, but it's not necessary - the 4 pins from the ATX12V connector will just plug into 4 of the pins from the connection on the board, leaving the remaining 4 pins unused.
