Im looking for a semi gaming laptop that could semi-max out Fallout 3, Company Of Heroes, Mount & Blade, Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic, and Empire Total War (may be). It doesnt have to a super computing $2000 dollar Quad core gaming laptop, just one for general gaming and everyday use. My price range is at around $1000, I could go up to $1200 but it might be pushing it. I can give you guys the specs for the games if needed, they arn't that demanding.

I already found a few computers that might do the trick:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220566

http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/s...w&config_id=3611959&jumpid=in_r329_saveconfig

Thanks guys, Id really appreciate it. Im looking for that portibility of a laptop but still need some of the power from a desktop.

Specs could be around 2.53 Ghz Duo Core, 4 Gbs Memory, 250 Gbs Hardrive, a good GPU, (dont think PSUs matter in laptops as much, 62 bit OS (possibly Win7?)

Thanks again.

If you are looking for a gaming laptop, you should go to iBUYPOWER first. They are selling through all major retailers too (newegg, costco, walmart...).

Thanks guys, but it doesn't have to be a "gaming" laptop. It can be an average computer just with better specs, like a 2.53 Ghz Processor, 4 Gigs memory etc. Those iBUYPOWER laptops seem a little pricy for having a mediocre GPU....

I've been looking for the samething for the past week in here and I would suggest to you the asus g60 I believe. It's the one on best buys site that is $999
p7450
gtx 260m
320 gb 7200 rpm

or the one for $1199

P8700 CPU
gtx 260m ( 1gb ) gpu
500 gb

Does everyone here shop at BestBuy? It seems everyone recommends their products, I always thought they were pretty pricy compared to newegg, or HP/ Dell online....

I personally think that BestBuy isn't all too great because its expensive and as far as a laptop goes I prefer 3rd-party products such as asus or acer. HP and Dell tend to be on the higher-priced side of town.

So you recommend me getting a ASUS laptop? I found though the HP website easier to use and you can customize your own computer, while at ASUS, even though are cheaper, tend to have alot of bloatware and its not possible to thoroughly customize your pc.

Any recommendations, though?
