SO many choices....
I purchase alot from Staples/Office Depot with work. I have gathered up enough points over the last while to purchase a few computer parts. I now need the heart and sole of the system that I want to build.
This is what I have
2 1GB 667MHZ DDR2 PC2-5300 CL5 240-PIN INDUSTRY STANDARD DIMM acp-ep
2 LG GSA-H10N DVD+RW 16X8X16 DVD-RW 16X6X16 Dual Layer 10X/6X DVD-RAM 12X Writer 2MB Black OEM W/ SW
1 Seagate Barracuda 250GB 7200.10 8MB 8.5MS SATA2 NCQ Hard Drive
1 Western Digital Caviar SE 250GB IDE ATA100 7200RPM 8MB 8.9MS Hard Drive
1 ATI RADEON X1600 PRO ENG 512MB PCIE Video Card
I don't want to spend alot of money.
I was leaning towards AMD AM2 3800+ CPU
I would like something with good on-board sound and that I can up-grade the CPU in the future.
Any help would be great
Thanks

Thanks Mate
That has on-board video, does that matter?
If I spend a little more, do you get very much more?

Any other recomendations?

well the on board video will be nice if your video card ever frys for some reason and you need something so you can actually still use your computer but it won't interfere if you put a video card in it either, i don't know that spending more would give you anything else, that has a pretty good chipset so it should be fine. Make sure you get a case that fits the board, aka Micro ATX board to case that fits Micro ATX boards, as well as the correct number of pins for the mother board.
